Class 1: Strategic Action Design
From Symbolic to Transformational
Learn the art of powerful action design! Explore different types of civic actions from creative street theater to strategic disruption, and discover how to choose tactics that create real change. We’ll design “dilemma actions” that pressure decision-makers and discuss how strategies adapt in different political climates. Move beyond just showing up to actually creating impact.

Class 2: Making Sense of Our Moment
Understanding Where We Are & Where We’re Going
When the world feels chaotic, this workshop helps you step back and find your place in the bigger picture. We’ll explore how we got to this political moment, practice emotional resilience for long-term activism, and connect with others who share your concerns. Leave feeling grounded, informed, and part of a larger community working for change.

Class 3: Bridge Building Across Difference
Conversations That Matter
Not everyone in your life shares your political views, and that’s where important conversations happen. Learn practical skills for talking with family, neighbors, and community members who see things differently. Practice reframing techniques, storytelling methods, and asking questions that open hearts rather than shut them down.

Class 4: Mutual Aid Essentials
Taking Care of Each Other
Strong communities take care of their own. Learn the principles of mutual aid; how neighbors support neighbors through everyday challenges and crisis moments. Discover how to start or join a neighborhood pod, map community resources, and build relationships that make resilient communities possible.

Class 5: Interrupting Violence & Building Peace
Our Power to Create Safety
Political tensions are rising, and communities need people trained in de-escalation. Build understanding of how political violence works, develop assertive responses to threats, and explore community-based approaches to safety. Practice tools you can use immediately and learn how communities have successfully resisted violence throughout history.

Class 6: Scenario Planning Workshop
Preparing for What’s Next
What if things get worse? Better? Completely unexpected? This extended workshop guides your group through exploring multiple possible futures and how you might respond. Through scenarios and discussion, identify challenges, discover your group’s strengths, and develop flexible plans that adapt to changing circumstances.
