Spiritual Enrichment Groups
Spiritual Enrichment Groups are small groups of friends who meet together on a regular basis. These groups strive to:
- Deepen our sense of community
- Open ourselves to the unfolding meaning of our lives and the world
- Enhance our experience of spirituality
- Explore and grow as Unitarian Universalists
There are three Spiritual Enrichment Groups currently meeting at May Memorial:
A long standing group facilitated by Kénel Antoine which meets on the first and third Mondays from 6:30 - 8:00 PM.
A long standing group facilitated by Don MacKay which meets on the second and fourth Mondays from 4:00 - 5:30 PM.
A group formed in early 2015 facilitated by Alexa Carter which meets on the second and fourth Thursdays from 6:00 - 7:30 PM.
Members of former groups as well as total newcomers to Spiritual Enrichment Groups are welcome to join and experience this type of small group ministry.
All Spiritual Enrichment Groups are open to new members. However, they are not “drop in” groups – that is, we ask you to try it out for a few sessions, and then make a commitment to regular attendance.
The Spiritual Enrichment Groups do not usually meet between mid-June and the beginning of September. Please contact the facilitators to confirm that your group is meeting.
Each group has a covenant of shared understandings about their meetings and participation. To find out more about the program, pick up the brochure “Spiritual Enrichment Groups – the Small Group Ministry program at May Memorial UU Society”, or speak to one of the group facilitators.
If you are interested in joining a group, you will find an interest form in the brochure – or email the facilitators your name, contact information, and which group(s) would match your availability.
